Andrew Wale - performer/writer
Andrew started work as an actor at the age of 18. He has appeared in plays and West End musicals as well as on film and TV. Apart from work as an Associate Director of some of the world’s most successful musicals, including Les Misérables and Mamma Mia!, he devised, directed and performed in Anonymous Society, which won an Edinburgh First Award, the Total Theatre Award for best physical theatre piece and the TMA Award for best new musical. He devised and directed Some Girls are Bigger than Others, based on songs by The Smiths, which opened in London and toured Nationally. Amongst smaller productions, he has directed Crave, by Sarah Kane, Footfalls and Come and Go by Samuel Beckett and Kanskje Aller Helst Der; a newly commissioned play by Ragnar Hovland. With Alan Øyen, Andrew has co-written and performed in America-Visions of Love, Avenida Corrientes and Bird in Magic Rain with Tears, as well writing text for the dance piece, Flawed.
