Chen-An Wu

Performer

Cheng-An Wu trained at Taipei National University of the Arts before joining Akram Khan Company in 2013, where he performed in iTMOi and toured internationally. He has since danced with companies including Ultima Vez, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, and Theater Basel, bringing his versatility to works across ballet, contemporary, and theatre.

His collaboration with Alan Lucien Øyen and winter guests began in Banff, Canada, where he was part of a youth development program for young dancers during the workshop of The Hamlet Complex. Øyen soon invited him to join the creation of Story, story, die (2019).

His repertoire includes performances in works such as Sacre by Roy Assaf, In Spite Of Wishing And Wanting by Wim Vandekeybus, and iTMOi by Akram Khan. He has also developed his own pieces, among them Perfect Match (2021), Mayfly (2018), and the second part of Schrödinger’s Whale (2017).

Cheng-An Wu has worked on the following winter guests production: Story story die(2019).
