Meng-Ke Wu

Performer

Meng-Ke Wu is a Taiwanese dancer known for her clarity of line and expressive range. She trained at the Taipei National University of the Arts and began her professional career with Tanztheater München. In 2010 she joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and, in 2013, was promoted to NDT 1. That same year she won both the first prize and the Audience Award at the Stuttgart International Solo Dance Theater Festival for her solo SHE.

During her years with NDT she performed works by Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Sol León and Paul Lightfoot, Crystal Pite, Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier, Marco Goecke, Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, and Hofesh Shechter. In 2019 she was selected as Dance Europe’s Outstanding Female Dancer.

Since 2019 Wu has been based in Shanghai, working between Asia and Europe as dancer, curator, and educator. She is the initiator of the Move to Move International Dance Festival and continues to collaborate widely across disciplines.

Renowned for combining rigorous precision with dramatic immediacy, she brings a distinctive presence to both performance and curatorial projects.

Meng-Ke Wu has worked on the following winter guests productions: The American Moth (2021, performer) and Antigone (2025, performer).
