Théâtre National de Chaillot, one of France’s five national theaters, and the first to focus on dance is one of the most prestigious and historically important venues in Paris. Alan Lucien Øyen / winter guests is thrilled to present three of their most acclaimed pieces in one season:
7th, 8th November, 2017: Simulacrum, a meeting of Flamenco and Kabuki across cultures and ages.
16th January, 2018: …and Carolyn, based on sound excepts from Sam Mendes’ film American Beauty is presented as part of a curated Nordic event dedicated to dance and cinema.
25th, 26th, 27th January 2018: KODAK (Göteborgsoperan), performed by ten dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, a cinematic piece enveloped in mist through which the icons of American pop culture emerge.
