Suzie Davies - Performer
Suzie R. Davies trained at the London Contemporary Dance School and works as a dancer, actor and choreographer, based in Oslo.
She started her career dancing in the Monty Python film ‘The Meaning of Life’ in 1983. As a dancer she has worked nationally and internationally with many companies and independent choreographers including Uppercut Danseteater, Janet Smith,Carte Blanche, Karen Foss, Ingun Bjørnsgaard, JazzXchange, Den Norske Opera, Bergen National Opera, Hege Haagenrud and Helena Franzén, to name a few. She works regularly as an actor and dancer with Winter Guests, and as an actor with Kate Pendry’s group.
In 2013 Suzie established her own dance company DEED, together with her partner Mattias Ekholm. They are currently working on their fourth creation together.
In 2010 Suzie was awarded FFUK’s Rolf Gammleng Prize for her work as a dancer and performer. Since 2012 she has been employed by Skuespiller og Danseralliansen (The Actors and Dancers Alliance)
With Winter Guests Suzie performs in In Time And It Will Snow, America - Visions of Love, Coelacanth, Jingle Horse, America Ep.2 Psychopatriot, and America Ep.3 Super Amateur. She also co-hosted the opening of the 2017 Bergen International Festival together with Andrew Wale.
