Performer
Originally from Taiwan, Lee-Yuan Tu graduated from the Dance College of Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011. He has worked with choreographers and companies such as Meimage Dance (Taiwan), Lin Hwai-Min (Cloud Gate Dance Theater), Shobana Jeyasingh, and Nederlands Dans Theater. He choreographed and performed After the End, which won Taiwan’s Golden Dance Award.
Tu’s collaboration with Alan Lucien Øyen began in 2015 with the creation of If We Shadows Have Offended for GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, followed by Kodak (2017). He later continued to work with Øyen outside of Göteborg, with Story, story, die in 2019) .
In addition to his ongoing work with winter guests, Tu has been a member of GöteborgsOperans Danskompani since 2016, where his repertory has included works by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Damien Jalet, Crystal Pite, Sharon Eyal, and Alan Lucien Øyen — including Øyen’s Oblivion (2022).
Lee-Yuan Tu has worked on the following winter guests productions: Story story die(2019, performer), and The American Moth(2021, performer).
