Lee-Yuan Tu is a Taiwanese dance artist whose work moves between contemporary performance, choreography, and movement direction across stage, film, and the wider commercial world. A 2011 graduate of Taipei National University of the Arts, he spent a decade as a soloist with GöteborgsOperans Danskompani (2013–2024), where he was honored with the Audience Choice Award for Best Male Dancer in 2015.
In Göteborg his repertory included works by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Shechter, and Alan Lucien Øyen, including Øyen’s If We Shadows Have Offended (2015), Kodak (2017), and Oblivion (2022). He has continued to work with Øyen outside of Göteborg, on the winter guests productions Story story die (2019) and Antigone (2025).
Tu has since moved into high-profile creative direction. He served as the 2025 Creative Director for Chanel’s Reach for the Stars Gala and has choreographed for global brands including lululemon and NEIWAI. His recent film work includes movement direction for Jackson Yee’s concert films and the production Behind You. He is the founder of göpadel.
